SupplyPal is a subsidiary of Sekika Solutions created with a mission to become a technology and knowledge-based supply chain business partner building evidenced based solutions for the unseen economy. SupplyPal has developed and implemented a 3-pronged approach to assist and support businesses within the unseen economy:
1. Market Research – Make the Business visible
One of the challenges within the unseen economy is that businesses are not visible to possible Supply Chain Partners. SupplyPal has developed in-house capability to map businesses across South Africa capturing information required by its Supply Chain Partners. This information has been used by SupplyPal to assist institutions like SEDA with the roll-out of the SEFA TREP program.
2. Developmental Facilitation – Foundation for growth
Many businesses lack the capability and the contacts to access funding that is available within various sectors. SupplyPal assists Businesses to access Grants/Loans both from Government departments as well as Private Sector Enterprise Development and CSI programmes. Depending on the nature of the business, a Facilitator gets assigned to assist the business owner with regulatory compliance and formalisation requirements.
3. Business Support – Provide levers for Growth
Once a business is onboarded by SupplyPal they get access to the Tools that include:
- Access to the SupplyPal E-commerce Platform
- Access to special payment terms and delivery of goods (Region dependant)
- Value Added Services e.g., Airtime/Electricity etc available on the Point-of-Sale devices that SupplyPal distributes
